Maya Berger is currently serving as a Grants and Awards Officer at the Perimeter Institute since January 2024 and has been the Owner of What I Mean To Say since May 2016. Previous experience includes the role of Departmental Manager for the Department of Chemistry at King's College London from January 2017 to September 2017, and a decade-long tenure at *Research, where responsibilities included Head of Funding Content, Funding Content Manager, Deputy Funding Editor, and Editorial Assistant. Maya Berger holds a Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) qualification in Copy-editing from June to November 2019, a Master’s degree in Children's Literature from the University of Reading (2004-2005), and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Philosophy from McGill University (2000-2004).
