Martin E. Lybecker

Martin E. Lybecker serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center since September 2015, focusing on Financial Holding Companies Law. Lybecker has been a Partner at Perkins Coie LLP since November 2010, with previous partnerships at WilmerHale, Ropes & Gray LLP, and Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. Experience in academia includes a role as Senior Lecturing Fellow in Law at Duke University School of Law from January 2000 to May 2015 and visiting professorships at the University at Buffalo and Duke University. Prior to private practice, Lybecker held the position of Associate Director in the Division of Investment Management at the US Securities and Exchange Commission from June 1978 to June 1981. Educational achievements include a Master of Laws in Banking and Securities Law from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, as well as LL.M. and J.D. degrees from New York University School of Law and the University of Washington School of Law, respectively.
