Jason Harris has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics engineering, starting with their current role as Vice President at Personalis, Inc. Jason has held various positions at Personalis, including Senior Director and Director. Prior to joining Personalis, Jason worked at Illumina, Inc. as a Staff Development Engineer. Jason also gained experience as an Associate Scientist at NOAO and held roles as an Assistant Astronomer and a Hubble Fellow at the University of Arizona. Additionally, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Space Telescope Science Institute.

Jason Harris earned a Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of California, Santa Cruz between 1995 and 2000. Jason also obtained a B.S. degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Arizona from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, they hold a Graduate Certificate in Bioinformatics from Stanford University, obtained in 2012.
