Joshua Anderson is a highly experienced scientist with a diverse background in genetics and molecular biology. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist at Personalis, Inc. since August 2014, Joshua plays a critical role in interpreting genetic data related to inherited diseases and cancer mutations. Previous positions include Genome Interpretation Scientist and Rare Variant Documentation Specialist at Illumina, where Joshua contributed to the optimization of genetic variant interpretation processes. Earlier experiences include independent contracting for educational content, consulting on biological applications at Ingenuity Systems, and conducting postdoctoral research at Stanford University focused on cardiovascular development. Joshua earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco, and holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis.
