Lorenzo Sousa Debarbieri

Lorenzo Sousa Debarbieri is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader in various sectors, including transportation and hospitality, with a notable career spanning over three decades. As Presidente del Directorio of Ferrocarril Transandino SA since its establishment in 1999, Lorenzo has overseen the administration, improvements, and maintenance of key railway infrastructure in Southern Peru. As the founder and Chairman of PeruRail, also founded in 1999, Lorenzo has played a significant role in the country's tourism sector. Additionally, as Presidente del Directorio of Peru Belmond Hotels, Lorenzo has contributed to the hotel industry following the privatization of state-owned enterprises. Other positions include Presidente del Directorio at Peruval Sociedad Agente de Bolsa and a previous role at Lan Peru from 1995 to 2001. Lorenzo holds an AMP in Business Administration from Harvard University and a degree in Economics from Pepperdine University.
