Hugh Ross is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within the packaging and manufacturing industries. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Petainer since February 2018, Ross oversees innovative packaging solutions for the global drinks market. Prior to this, Ross was the Managing Director of the European Division at Essentra, where responsibilities included managing a workforce of 4,000 across 39 manufacturing and distribution centers. Ross has held various significant positions at Essentra, including President of the Speciality Tapes Division and President of Payne North America, focusing on operational and commercial leadership. Earlier career highlights include serving as Vice President Finance for Essentra Filters and progressing through roles at Bunzl plc and PwC, where Ross gained an ACA qualification. Educational background includes a BA in Economics from Durham University, an officer commission in the British Army, and accountancy credentials from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
