ABOUT US Petrojam Limited is a limited liability company, owned by the Government of Jamaica. The company operates a refinery, which was built by ESSO in 1964 and acquired by the Government of Jamaica in 1982. In 2006, 49% of its shares were sold to PDV Caribe S.A of Venezuela. Full ownership of the company reverted to the Government in February of Jamaica in 2019. Petrojam’s core business is to supply petroleum products to the local market through a mix of refining and importation. Located on the shoreline of the Kingston Harbour at 96 Marcus Garvey Drive, Petrojam operates a hydro-skimming Plant with a refining capacity of 36,000 barrels per day and throughput capacity of 28,000 to 30,000 barrels per day. OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES Petrojam supplies Jamaica with a full range of domestic, transportation and industrial petroleum products. The company focuses primarily on meeting the needs of the national market, and does this through a mix of refining and importation of finished products. Customers served include the power producing; aircraft refuelling; multinational and local marketing companies.
