Katie Martin

Katie Martin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public policy and communication. Currently serving as Project Director for the Philadelphia Research and Policy Initiative at The Pew Charitable Trusts since September 2015, Katie has a robust background in government roles. Previous positions include Deputy Director of Policy, Director of Scheduling, and Deputy Press Secretary for the City of Philadelphia, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing the scheduling of the Mayor, managing press communications, and coordinating briefing materials. Katie's early career includes an internship with the Foundation for Sustainable Development in Kenya, where training initiatives focused on community education regarding gender relations and health issues. Katie earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania (2013-2015) and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Political Science from Boston University (2003-2007).
