In 2014, Ashley pursued a Master's Degree in International Relations with a focus on the Political Economy of Development at the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals. Ashley completed this program in 2015. Additionally, in 2015 to 2016, Ashley participated in a Spanish Language Immersion Program at Barcelona Language Immersion Programs. Apart from their formal education, Ashley Miller has obtained several certifications. In 2009, they received a Certification to Teach English as a Second Language from TEFL Barcelona. In 2016, they obtained the Project Management in Development (PMD Pro) certification from PM4NGO's. Most recently, in 2021, Ashley became a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) through the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).
