Robert Ellis

Robert Ellis, PE, GE, currently serves as the Deputy Chief Dam Safety Engineer and previously held the position of Senior Engineer – Dam Safety at Pacific Gas and Electric Company since August 2015. Prior to this, Robert served in the U.S. Navy Reserve from June 2003 to April 2015 as a Civil Engineering Corps officer (SeaBees), participating in mobilizations to Iraq and Afghanistan where responsibilities included overseeing construction projects for forward operating bases. Robert's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Project Manager at Kleinfelder, Inc. from June 1998 to March 2015, specializing in civil and geotechnical engineering aspects such as earth retaining systems, foundations, and seismic design. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering from Humboldt State University.
