Ryan Matulka

Ryan Matulka, CISSP, currently serves as Senior Manager of the Security Operations Center at Pacific Gas and Electric Company since July 2016, overseeing cyber threat intelligence and insider threat functions that protect critical infrastructure for 16 million people. Matulka has successfully managed a team of 11, developed intrusion analysis and threat hunting capabilities, and delivered intelligence products. Previously, as Head of Insider Risk, Matulka established a comprehensive insider threat program for 35,000 workers and led proactive threat detection initiatives that resulted in the mitigation of over 150 security incidents. Matulka's extensive experience also includes roles as an IT Security Portfolio Analyst and Energy Policy & Procurement Analyst at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, as well as managerial positions at Amonix, Inc. and research roles at UCLA. Matulka's military background includes service as an Infantry and Special Forces Officer in the US Army. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and multiple master's degrees in relevant fields.
