Marc Stanghieri owns PGS Advisers, a Sydney-based firm providing specialist guidance on shareholder voting, investor engagement, and communications strategies.

Drawing on deep experience across Australia’s financial markets and boardroom dynamics, Marc Stanghieri supports company leaders and their advisers in managing institutional investor sentiment and building alignment ahead of shareholder decisions on critical matters.

Since Marc Stanghieri's launch of the Sydney-based specialist firm, PGS Advisers has established itself as a leading proxy solicitation and shareholder advisory partner. As an owner-operator, Marc provides senior-level counsel across all engagements, ensuring alignment and strategy execution from start to finish.

PGS Advisers offers an expert-led alternative to the traditional proxy model, where senior practitioners lead from the front and engagement strategies are tailored, not templated. Along with the Australian PGS leadership team, comprising Justin Foord and Murray Williams, Marc Stanghieri works closely with clients through takeovers, board renewal campaigns, AGMs, and critical investor engagement matters.

At PGS, Marc Stanghieri overseas direct engagement campaigns for board-level votes and Scheme of Arrangement transactions. Marc leads PGS’ advisory approach to institutional voting trends and proxy adviser focus areas.

Earlier in his career, Marc Stanghieri held senior leadership roles at Australian shareholder advisory consultancies, most recently at Morrow Sodali. Marc also held advisory roles at Market Eye (an Australian investor relations firm acquired by Automic Group) and Media & Capital Partners (an Australian investor relations and media relations firm, based in Sydney and Melbourne). Marc Stanghieri's experience spans across member-based organisations with complex merger votes, through to listed and unlisted companies, where the voting decisions of institutional investors are critical for high-stakes transactions.

Outside of client mandates, Marc Stanghieri actively follows developments in proxy voting technology, data-driven engagement strategies, and trends shaping institutional investor behaviour.

Marc works closely with the PGS executive leadership team to grow the business across Australia's listed and unlisted market.
