Phase Genomics
Maika Malig has over 14 years of work experience in research and scientific roles. They are currently working as a Research Scientist at Phase Genomics since July 2020. Prior to this, from September 2015 to August 2020, they worked as a Graduate Student and later as a Senior Research Scientist at the University of California, Davis. They also have experience as a Research Scientist Intern at Phase Genomics from June 2019 to September 2019, where they were involved in research and development of methodologies for Hi-C enrichment and protocol optimization. Before that, from April 2006 to May 2015, they worked as a Research Scientist/Engineer at the University of Washington.
Maika Malig completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a higher level of education at the University of California, Davis, from 2015 to 2020. During this period, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Genetics and Genomics.

They offer a comprehensive portfolio of laboratory and computational services and products, including Hi-C kits for plants, animals, microbes, and human samples as well as industry-leading genome and metagenome assembly and analysis software.
