Daniel Kates, MD, MBA, is an experienced medical affairs executive currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs at Cytokinetics and as an advisor on the Board of Chapter Advisors for the Upsilon Alpha chapter of Phi Gamma Delta. Daniel has held significant leadership roles in various organizations, including Vice President at Achaogen and Senior Director at Gilead Sciences, where responsibilities encompassed medical strategy, operations, and communications. With a strong background as a medical officer in both military and disaster response contexts, Daniel's educational credentials include an MD from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and an MBA from Golden Gate University.
