Director Of Major Gifts at Philbrook Museum of Art

Angela Carter has held several positions in the arts and culture sector. From 2006 to 2021, they were employed by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, where they served as both Third/Bass Clarinet and Development Director. In 2021, they began working for the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra as Executive Director. Angela is currently employed by the Philbrook Museum of Art as Director of Major Gifts, a position they have held since 2022.

Angela Carter completed their Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained their Master of Music degree from Bowling Green State University in 2004. In 2002, they earned a Graduate Certificate in Orchestral Studies from Wayne State University. Her Bachelor of Music degree was obtained from Acadia University in 1999. In addition to their educational degrees, Angela Carter also has a Nonprofit Management Certificate from the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, obtained in 2015, and an Emerging Leaders Program certification from the League of American Orchestras, obtained in June 2019.
