Kayla Bruemmer has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. Kayla began their career at Boone Hospital Center as a Telecommunications Operator, where they were responsible for answering a high volume of phone calls and paging hospital employees. Kayla then moved to the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office as an Archivist, where they scanned documents and photos from architectural surveys and sorted the surveys. In 2014, they joined Veo Optics as an Office Manager, where they managed the back office team and provided customer service. In 2015, they worked as a Registration Assistant at the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology, helping with the museum's collection move and conducting inventories. In 2016, Kayla began working at Prime Group as an Investor Relations & Office Administrator. Finally, in 2018, they joined the Philbrook Museum of Art as an Executive Assistant to the Director and a Development Assistant, Records and Gift Processing.
Kayla Bruemmer obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Classical Humanities and a Bachelor's Degree in Art History/Archaeology from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 2008 and 2012. Kayla then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Museum Studies from the University of San Francisco in 2015. In 2017, they obtained certifications in Excel Intermediate and PowerPoint Intermediate from AcademyX Computer Training.
