Shawn Barnes has over two decades of experience in quality, health, and safety management, currently serving as the Quality, Health and Safety Manager and Authorized Maritime Trainer at Phoenix Group of Virginia, Inc. since 2004. In this role, Shawn is responsible for teaching the 10-hour and 30-hour student outreach courses for the Maritime Industry. Prior to this position, Shawn worked at the US Navy from August 1993 to July 2004, where roles included Operations Assistant to the President and Fire Controlman. Shawn holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Quality Assurance from Tidewater Community College, obtained between 2004 and 2006.
