Colum O'Brien

Colum O'Brien is a seasoned actuarial professional with extensive experience in the fields of credit and risk modelling. Currently serving as a Senior Credit Modelling Actuary at Phoenix Group since November 2021, Colum previously held roles as a Credit Modelling Actuary. His career includes significant positions at M&G plc as a Risk Modelling Manager and Risk Modelling Actuary, as well as a Market Risk Actuary at Prudential Life Assurance. Colum's foundational experience as an Actuarial Consultant at PwC UK and as Chief Risk Officer for the Queen's University Student Managed Fund further solidifies a strong skill set in risk assessment and management. Colum began this professional journey after earning a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science and Risk Management from Queen's University Belfast in 2015.
