James Wilde

James Wilde serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer at Phoenix Group since March 2021. Prior to this role, James held the position of Group Head of Sustainability at Lloyds Banking Group from July 2018 to March 2021. James also has extensive experience as Managing Director at Carbon Trust from 2003 to July 2018 and as a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company from 2000 to 2003. James earned a PhD in Nanostructured Materials from the University of Cambridge between 1996 and 2000 and a Master’s Degree in Metallurgy and Science of Materials from the University of Oxford from 1992 to 1996.
