Sharon Smyth

Sharon Smyth currently serves as the Head of Brand and Sponsorship at Phoenix Group since June 2022. During a secondment as Interim Chief Marketing Officer at SunLife from October 2023 to June 2024, Sharon utilized extensive brand and marketing expertise gained from previous roles as Head of Brand and Sponsorship UK at Standard Life UK, and Head of Marketing at Standard Life Ireland where strategic brand development and consumer insights were pivotal. Earlier positions include Corporate & Consumer Marketing Manager at Zurich Life Assurance plc (Ireland) and Marketing Communications Assistant Manager at Permanent TSB, where leadership, campaign management, and customer insights played crucial roles in driving marketing success. Sharon holds a Professional Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the Irish Management Institute, a Mini MBA in Brand Management, and was awarded a BSc in Sports Management from University College Dublin.
