Additionally, Mark was a Partner at QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey from January 2016 until June 2024. Academic experience includes serving as a Doctoral Student and Research Lead at Northwestern University from June 2009 to March 2015, and earlier as a High School Math and Science Teacher at OCCS. Mark's educational credentials encompass a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, as well as a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from the University at Buffalo.
