Grant McKinney

Grant McKinney is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the optical and LIDAR systems domain. Currently serving as a Senior System Engineer at Picarro, Inc. since 2011, Grant previously held significant roles at Velodyne Acoustics, Inc. as a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer and Leica Geosystems as an Electro-optical Engineer, contributing to advanced developments in LIDAR technology. Grant has a solid foundation in engineering through past leadership at Cinovis, LLC as President and Engineering Consultant, and various technical roles including Senior Opto-mechanical Engineer at Voxis, Inc., and Laser/Opto-Mechanical Engineer at CYRA Technologies, where Grant played a critical role in the advancement of LIDAR systems sold for over $50 million. Grant began a formal education in physics at the University of California, Berkeley, earning a BA during 1991 to 1993.
