Thomas Plein

Thomas Plein possesses extensive experience in trading and investment within the financial sector, primarily at Bank of America Merrill Lynch since June 2007, where roles have included market making, algorithmic trading, and managing complex credit and FX options portfolios. As a lead trader, responsibilities have encompassed significant credit exposure management across global markets and the development of hedging strategies with notable profit contributions. In addition to trading, Thomas has engaged in venture capital as a member and investor with various organizations, including Blue Lake VC and Alma Angels since January 2022, and has participated as a venture fellow in the Newton Venture Program since September 2021. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Mannheim, completed in 2007.
