Tormod Thomsen

Tormod Thomsen is an experienced leader in the field of neuroscience and biotechnology, currently serving as CEO and Chairman of Picterus AS since September 2020. In addition, Tormod holds the position of Chairman at Møreforsking AS since April 2019. Previously, Tormod co-founded and served as CEO of Cimon Medical until April 2022 and held various leadership roles including Chairman at NCE Blue Legasea and General Manager at Firmenich Bjørge Biomarin AS. Tormod's career includes significant contributions as CEO of PatoGen Analyse AS and as Head of R&D at Møre and Romsdal Hospital Trust. Tormod's academic background includes a Master's degree in Psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Cognitive Neuroscience, both obtained from the University of Bergen.
