Jorge Alberto Mejia Garcia is an experienced workforce technician currently employed at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center since October 2022. With a diverse background, Jorge has previously held positions including labels specialist and label maker at the Eastern Carolina Vocational Center, as well as a graduate teaching assistant at East Carolina University. The Pikes Peak Workforce Center is an American Job Center serving El Paso and Teller counties that connects vital businesses with work-ready job seekers and employer-driven services. Last year, we served more than 39,000 clients including more than 10,000 veterans and over 1,000 young adults. We provide no-cost job seeker services from resume assistance, interview training, computer skills training and more. Clients range from entry-level to professional; include youth, adults, people returning to the workforce, underemployed and those with barriers to employment. Veterans always receive priority service. In support of regional employers, we host tailored, no-cost recruitment and hiring events including candidate sourcing, group and individual pre-employment assessments, provide a job database of searchable candidate profiles and more.
