Serina Gilbert is an experienced professional in vocational rehabilitation and youth services, currently serving as the Youth Services Manager at the State of Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation since November 2020. Simultaneously, Serina has been a Content Writer for Insightful Visions Media since November 2019 and has a long tenure at the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, where roles have included Rehabilitation Counselor and Workforce Technician since October 2008. Prior experience includes working as a Clerical/Human Resources Team Member at Super Target from August 2002 to October 2008 and as a Recruiting Assistant intern at T. Rowe Price for a brief period in early 2007. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Communications from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center is an American Job Center serving El Paso and Teller counties that connects vital businesses with work-ready job seekers and employer-driven services. Last year, we served more than 39,000 clients including more than 10,000 veterans and over 1,000 young adults. We provide no-cost job seeker services from resume assistance, interview training, computer skills training and more. Clients range from entry-level to professional; include youth, adults, people returning to the workforce, underemployed and those with barriers to employment. Veterans always receive priority service. In support of regional employers, we host tailored, no-cost recruitment and hiring events including candidate sourcing, group and individual pre-employment assessments, provide a job database of searchable candidate profiles and more.
