Timothy Lavery is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in veteran outreach and support. Currently serving as a Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist at the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment since August 2006, Timothy actively participates in several committees, including the Disabled Veterans Program, the Colorado Springs Homeless Veteran’s Coalition, and the Veteran Fraternity at Colorado State University-Pueblo. Prior military service includes a role as a Sergeant in the US Army from November 1994 to April 2001, where Timothy worked as an Armored Crewman, and service in the Army National Guard from June 1985 to November 1994 as a Specialist 4. Timothy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Art and Education from Colorado State University Pueblo, earned between 2003 and 2008.

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center is an American Job Center serving El Paso and Teller counties that connects vital businesses with work-ready job seekers and employer-driven services. Last year, we served more than 39,000 clients including more than 10,000 veterans and over 1,000 young adults. We provide no-cost job seeker services from resume assistance, interview training, computer skills training and more. Clients range from entry-level to professional; include youth, adults, people returning to the workforce, underemployed and those with barriers to employment. Veterans always receive priority service. In support of regional employers, we host tailored, no-cost recruitment and hiring events including candidate sourcing, group and individual pre-employment assessments, provide a job database of searchable candidate profiles and more.
