Kristen Shimada

Kristen Shimada is an experienced HR professional currently serving as the Head of People at Pilot.com since May 2025. Prior to this role, Kristen was a Staff HR Business Partner at Skilljar by Gainsight from February 2022 to May 2025, where leadership in people strategy and management of HR personnel contributed to the company’s profitability and acquisition. Kristen's background includes significant experience at Meta from September 2019 to February 2022 as a Senior HR Business Partner, advising on employee relations for over 1,000 employees globally and leading onboarding and internal mobility initiatives. Earlier career milestones include driving HR initiatives during rapid growth at Sage Intacct, where the workforce expanded from 130 to over 800 employees, as well as foundational administrative roles at Shannon & Snyder. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management and Services from San José State University, completed in 2013.
