Michael Lin has extensive work experience in various roles related to solutions engineering, data science, and artificial intelligence. Michael is currently working as a Principal Solutions Engineer at PingCAP since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Dun & Bradstreet as a Presales Solution Architect - Analytics from November 2019 to September 2022, where they provided machine learning-based analytics services and commercial business data for sales, marketing, finance, and risk management solutions. Before that, they worked at CTO 911 Inc as a Solution Architect - Data Science from October 2018 to November 2019. In 2017, they founded Practically AI, a meetup group focused on applied artificial intelligence. Michael also worked at Intel Corporation as a Presales Solution Architect - Data Science from February 2018 to October 2018 and at Metis as a Data Scientist from September 2017 to February 2018. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as VP of Engineering at RealPage, Inc. from 1999 to 2012 and Software Design Engineer at Microsoft from 1990 to 1999.
Michael Lin has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington. Michael also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the same institution. Additionally, they have obtained the certification of "PingCap Certified TiDB Associate" from PingCAP.
