Jack Jemsek

Jack Jemsek is an accomplished Senior Hydrogeologist currently employed at Monadnock Environmental Consultants since May 2025, with a prior role at Hillmann Consulting, LLC from February 2020 to April 2025. Jemsek has extensive involvement in public service, serving as an Executive Committee Member for the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission since June 2020, and as a Board Member for the Amherst Board of Health since August 2024. Previous contributions include membership on the Amherst Planning Board from October 2016 to June 2022, where Jemsek also held the position of Chair from 2020 to 2021. In the environmental sector, Jemsek has held senior positions at organizations such as SWCA Environmental Consultants and New England Environmental, Inc. Education credentials include a Ph.D. in Marine Geology and Geophysics from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, alongside a BS in Geology from the University of Notre Dame. Additionally, Jemsek has played a significant role at Amherst Golf Club since 2013, including serving as Past President from 2017 to 2020.
