Dimitris Fotis Sakellariou

Dimitris Fotis Sakellariou is the Founder and CEO of Piramidal, a role initiated in January 2024 as part of the Y Combinator W24 Batch. Previously, Sakellariou served as a Senior AI Engineer and Deep Learning Lead at IQVIA from January 2020 to January 2024, and as an AI Scientist 2. Prior experience includes a position as a Data Science Fellow at the Faculty in 2019 and a Postdoctoral Researcher at King's College London from February 2017 to September 2019. Earlier roles include Research Associate at King's College London from October 2014 to July 2015. Sakellariou holds a PhD in Applied Machine Learning - Neural Engineering from King's College London, earned between 2013 and 2016, a Master of Science in Computational Neuroscience & Artificial Intelligence from the University of Patras from 2010 to 2013, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Patras from 2004 to 2010.
