Chawne Kimber

Chawne Kimber currently serves as the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Pitzer College and is a Professor of Mathematics. Previously, Kimber held the position of Dean of the College and Professor of Mathematics at Washington and Lee University. At Lafayette College, Kimber was the Thomas Roy and Lura Forrest Jones Professor of Mathematics and the founding co-Director of the Hanson Center for Inclusive STEM Education, in addition to serving as Mathematics Department Head. Kimber's early academic experience includes a role as the VanVleck Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Wesleyan University. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Florida and an MS in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
