Callum Boocock has a diverse work experience, beginning with a role as Telebooking staff at Next in 2010. Callum then held a role as Office Staff at Argos in 2011, followed by an IOP placement student role at STFC in 2012. In 2013, they took on a role as Technical Sales Advisor at Busch Vacuum Solutions, and in 2014 they worked as an Operational Analyst at AWE. In 2019, they worked as a Neural Networks - PhD placement at ingenie insurance, and in 2021 they took on a role as Machine Learning - PhD Placement at Satellite Applications Catapult. Currently, they are a Data Science Consultant at Pivigo, where they are working on a number of monitoring, evaluation and learning projects. Callum is responsible for identifying and collating contextually relevant data from open-source databases using Python APIs and presenting the data in accessible formats. Callum has also completed a PhD in Research Student at Queen Mary University of London, where they ran highly parallelised simulations of the solar atmosphere on HPC clusters. Callum has published five papers and presented their research at multiple conferences.

Callum Boocock completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Astrophysics from Queen Mary University of London in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master in Science MSci in Mathematics and Physics from Durham University in 2013. Callum began their educational journey in 2005 at Lutterworth College.
