Samir Kaul is a founding general partner at Khosla Ventures. He is a leading investor in Impossible Foods, Oscar, EtaGen, Guardant and View, among many others. A number of his investments have achieved significant results including NanoH20 [acquired by LG Chem], Satki3 [acquired by Dyson] and Climate Corp [acquired by Monsanto]. Prior to entering the venture capital industry, Samir was a researcher at TIGR (The Institute for Genomic Research) where he co-authored a number of papers in Nature, Science and PNAS. Samir holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Michigan. He also studied biochemistry at the University of Maryland. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University.
