Joshua D. Williams is a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Pivotal, responsible for designing various mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for Helix aircraft since October 2019. Previously, Joshua held positions as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Flight Testing Engineer for BlackFly aircraft, where responsibilities included designing composite aerodynamic fairings and conducting over 200 flight testing sessions. Earlier experience includes roles at GE Aviation as an Aero/Mechanical Engineer and co-op positions focused on the XT901 engine program. Joshua led the design of a fully carbon-fiber UAV during a senior project at Cornell University and has a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution. Additional experience encompasses teaching assistance roles and collaboration on multiple unmanned air systems projects throughout Joshua's academic career.
