Kemal Ugur, PhD, is an accomplished entrepreneur and expert in digital media technologies, currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of Pixery since July 2014, where innovative mobile applications are developed to empower digital creators. Alongside this role, Kemal Ugur is also Co-Founder and CEO of Funimate, which has created a highly popular app for music and lip-sync videos, recognized among the top 10 in the Photo & Video category. Previously, in a direction role at NGCodec Inc., Kemal Ugur focused on algorithm development for H.265/HEVC products. A significant portion of Kemal Ugur's career was spent at Nokia from 2004 to 2014, where various positions included leading audio-visual standardization efforts and managing a consortium project with industry partners. Kemal Ugur holds a PhD from Tampere University of Technology, a Master's degree from The University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor's degree from Middle East Technical University.
