Lara Maria Berndes

Lara Maria Berndes is a dedicated Trainee Psychotherapist currently working at Place2Be since December 2022, with additional experience at Rephael House Counselling Centre from April 2023 to July 2025. Lara has volunteered with MeeTwo Education Ltd from January 2019 to February 2021, providing support as a 'Superpeer' within a mobile app aimed at facilitating discussions among young people about their challenges. Prior to this, Lara served as an Apprentice Surveyor at JLL from September 2017 to November 2018. Lara's educational background includes an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy (CYP) from the Northern Guild School of Psychotherapy (2021-2025), a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (CYP) (2021-2024), and a Humanistic Integrative Counselling Diploma from CPPD Counselling School (2019-2021), along with specialized training in child bereavement from Middlesex University (2018-2019).
