Gary Petersen

Mr. Petersen has served as a director of PAA GP Holdings LLC since November 2016. He served as a director of PAA’s general partner from June 2001 to November 2016. Mr. Petersen is a Managing Partner of EnCap Investments L.P., an investment management firm, which he co-founded in 1988. He had previously served as Senior Vice President and Manager of the Corporate Finance Division of the Energy Banking Group for RepublicBank Corporation. Prior to his position at RepublicBank, he was Executive Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of Nicklos Oil & Gas Company from 1979 to 1984. He served from 1970 to 1971 in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant in the Finance Corps and as an Army Officer in the Army Security Agency. He is also a director of EV Energy Partners, L.P. Mr. Petersen holds MBA and BBA degrees in finance from Texas Tech University. Mr. Petersen is a member of the compensation and governance committees.
