Paul N. Giuliano

Paul N. Giuliano, Ph.D., is a highly experienced aerospace engineer and technical leader with a focus on advanced payload systems and autonomous vehicle technology. Currently serving as a Staff Payload Systems Engineer at Planet, Paul leads the hyperspectral payload efforts for the Carbon Mapper project, aimed at tracking methane and CO2 emissions. Previous roles include Technical Program Manager for Lyft's Level 5 Autonomous Vehicle Division, where Paul improved virtual testing ecosystems, and Technical Group Lead at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, overseeing a team responsible for instrument systems. Paul has taught astronautics courses at the University of Southern California and held various engineering positions at Boeing, contributing significantly to projects in space vehicles, propulsion systems, and advanced telecommunications. Paul holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as additional degrees in the same field and a certificate in Systems Engineering from Caltech.
