Richard Kachelriess, MBA, is an experienced product marketing professional with a background spanning multiple industries, including geospatial technology and emergency response solutions. Currently serving as Product Marketing Manager at Planet since July 2024, Richard previously held senior roles at Nearmap focused on geospatial and insurance markets, where effective go-to-market strategies were developed. Richard's expertise in product marketing was demonstrated during a tenure at Deloitte, leading marketing campaigns for groundbreaking blockchain solutions, and at EagleView, where core imagery product marketing was executed. Additionally, Richard has significant experience from Esri, where marketing initiatives for ArcGIS Pro led to substantial adoption increases. Richard began the career as a Hydrologic Technician at USGS, contributing to environmental data collection and analysis. Richard holds an MBA in Marketing from Rollins College and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Florida Atlantic University.
