Sarah Shivers, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in remote sensing and geospatial analysis. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Tasking Products at Planet since April 2021, Sarah oversees the strategy and development of imagery products from high-resolution and hyperspectral constellations. Previously, Sarah held roles at Planet as Senior Product Manager and Product Manager focusing on hyperspectral imaging, as well as positions at McKinsey & Company applying data science to global agricultural challenges. Earlier experience includes research roles at the National Science Foundation and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where Sarah utilized remote sensing to assess environmental vulnerabilities. Sarah earned a Ph.D. in Geography from UC Santa Barbara and holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Community Health from Tufts University.
