Orbits R&d Engineer at Planet Labs

Vishnuu Mallik is an experienced aerospace professional currently serving as an Orbits R&D Engineer at Planet since March 2021. Prior to this role, Vishnuu was a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in space object tracking, characterization, and course development in Methods of Orbit Determination. Additional experience includes a Research Assistant position at the University of Colorado Boulder, where contributions were made to the FALCON satellite navigation software, and various undergraduate research and teaching assistant roles at the University of Minnesota, focusing on orbital mechanics, sensor development, and high-altitude atmospheric research. Vishnuu holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics with a minor in Astrophysics from the University of Minnesota.
