For Maharashtra Police, Essel Shyam had also provided the first police network of voice & data using VSAT's. It was also the key vendor for the e-governance project of the treasury department of the Madhya Pradesh government. The company has also diversified into defence contracts, high-end hydrometeorology system for the management of Bhakra Beas Management Board's water reservoirs. PlanetCast is responsible for the supply, installation, and commissioning of the system located in the Sutlej and Beas basins.
