John Greet

John Greet has over a decade of experience in the tech industry. John began their career in 2008 as an On-Site Technician at Old Town Computers. In 2010, they moved to Revelation, Inc. as a Tech Support & Sys Admin. In 2012, they joined GitHub as a Senior Application Engineer, where they improved and secured the backend interface for staff and Enterprise appliance admins, kept the company's internal communication tools running, and containerized a legacy service or two. John then became a Quality Engineer, where they tested new features and prevented the abuse of existing ones. Finally, they served as a Support Engineer, helping developers move on to GitHub and advocating for the needs of users within engineering. In 2021, they joined PlanetScale as a Technical Support Lead.

John Greet attended the University of California, Davis from 1999 to 2001, studying Computer Science and Engineering.
