Maria Shipilov

Maria Shipilov is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance and advisory roles. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at EDGE Tutor International since February 2024, Maria has also held positions at Platzi as Interim VP of Finance, Head of Revenue, and Head of English Academy since May 2022. Previous roles include Advisor and COO/CFO at Edukasyon.ph from September 2017 to April 2022, and investment banking positions at Houlihan Lokey and Morgan Stanley, focusing on the Consumer & Retail and Power & Utilities sectors, respectively. Maria began her career in the Global Equity Services Group at Deutsche Bank. Academically, Maria holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a Certificate in Investor Relations from New York University, and a BA in Economics from Cornell University, complemented by a study abroad at The London School of Economics.
