Craig Newlands

Craig Newlands currently holds the position of Junior Data Scientist at PlayerData since October 2023, after progressing from roles as a Graduate Software Engineer and Student Software Engineer. Previously, Craig contributed as a Software Engineer specializing in AI Localisation and Mapping with Edinburgh University Formula Student from September 2023 to August 2024, and gained experience as an RDD Intern in Robotics at Dyson from September 2022 to August 2023. Craig's earlier engagement with Edinburgh University Formula Student spanned from September 2019 to August 2022, where roles included Software Engineer and Electronic Engineer focused on AI Electronics. Craig is pursuing a degree in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science at The University of Edinburgh, expected to conclude in 2024.
