Gal Shapira

Gal Shapira is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in research and development leadership, primarily in the high-tech sector. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer and CIO at Playtech since June 2015, Gal has previously held the position of R&D Director at Playtech and NICE Systems, demonstrating a strong track record in managing technical teams and product development. Prior roles include AVP and Product Unit Manager at Comverse, where responsibilities encompassed integrated management of various departments. Gal's career began with co-founding goldbet, the first Israeli lottery website, and includes a solid foundation in computer science and management with degrees from Ben Gurion University and The College of Management Academic Studies.
