Emerick Larkin

Emerick Larkin is a Scientist III at Plenty® as of February 2023, with a robust background in agricultural and biological engineering. Larkin earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Florida, where the dissertation focused on lettuce rhizocommunity structures and dynamics in both field and hydroponic agriculture systems. Previous experience includes serving as an ABE-McKnight Doctoral Fellow at the University of Florida, engaging in organic food production at Tanner Organics, and contributing as a research assistant at the University of Central Florida on fungal endophyte biocide screening. An internship at NASA involved studying baseline photosynthesis and growth conditions of Triticum aestivum L. cv. Early career experience includes working as a pharmacy technician assistant at Florida Hospital Flagler. Larkin also holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Central Florida.
