Douglas Selinger

Founder & CEO at Plex Research

Douglas Selinger has worked in the field of biomedical research for over a decade. Douglas began their career in 2003 as a Research Investigator I/II for the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. In 2006, they were promoted to Research Investigator II/III in the same department. In 2007, they also became an Adjunct Faculty at Brandeis University. In 2011, they were promoted again to Associate Director, Scientific Information Systems and Manager, Bioinformatics (Preclinical Safety) at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR). In 2017, they founded and became the CEO of Plex Research.

Douglas Selinger obtained a B.A. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Philosophy from Rutgers University in 1995. Following this, they were a Fulbright Scholar in Molecular Biology from 1995 to 1996. Douglas then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Genetics from Harvard University, which they completed in 2003. Afterward, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Biology at Harvard Medical School in 2003.
