Marius Hu Tobiassen has a diverse work experience spanning from 2004 to the present. Marius began their career in 2004 as a Customer Support representative at Telenor, where they provided internet support and handled orders for corporate clients. In 2006, they worked as a Money Transporter at Loomis, responsible for safely transporting money between banks and companies.
From 2009 to 2010, Marius worked as a Test Engineer at VanceInfo, primarily testing software in Nokia mobile devices running on the Symbian platform. Marius reported and followed up on defect reports and produced status reports for the software. Following this, from 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Test Engineer at Neusoft, where they tested software in Nokia N9 prototype mobile devices on the Meego platform. Marius also reported and followed up on defect reports.
From 2011 to 2012, Marius worked as a Test Engineer at Symbio, testing software in Nokia N9 mobile devices on the Meego platform. Marius reported and followed up on defect reports and produced status reports for the software.
In 2012, they joined WiMP Music (now known as TIDAL) as a Quality Assurance Test Engineer. Marius was responsible for testing the functionality of the WiMP Music streaming software on multiple platforms and for designing and executing test cases. Marius also managed defect reports during testing.
From 2014 to 2020, Marius worked at Runway - Switched-on Group, where they held the role of QA Lead & Business Analyst. Marius managed testing efforts across multiple projects, established QA processes, and worked cooperatively with stakeholders to ensure project requirements were met.
At their own company, Hu Tobiassen, Marius worked as an Owner and Quality Assurance Test Engineer consultant in 2014. Marius designed and executed test cases for various projects, including Windows desktop clients, mobile clients for iOS, and complex websites with a focus on streaming media. Marius also managed defect reports.
Currently, Marius works at Plexus as a Quality Assurance Lead, a position they have held since September 2020. In this role, they manage QA work, leads other QA resources, and owns the automation development in Cypress. Marius works in sprints on new development projects and creates automated test suites for regression and end-to-end coverage. Marius also runs automated test suites via Github Actions.
Marius Hu Tobiassen began their education in 2000 at Østfold University College (HiØ) where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. Marius completed their degree in 2003. In 2006, Marius attended the University of Oslo (UiO) for three years and earned a Bachelor's degree in Chinese language (Mandarin). During their time at UiO, they participated in an exchange program at Peking University from 2007 to 2009.
In addition to their formal education, Marius obtained certifications to further enhance their skills. In 2009, they acquired a HSK Basic certification from the Office of China National Committee for Chinese Proficiency Test. Later in 2012, Marius obtained an ISTQB certification from the Norwegian Testing Board.
